About Daren Wride - Speaker on Building Effective Teams:
Daren Wride grew up with true wilderness just down the street. He developed a love of the outdoors, and later worked in the mineral exploration and fur industries. He also participated in the sport of Marathon Canoe Racing, advancing to the National Championships four times, winning two silver medals and one gold medal. His work and sport involvement taught him the value of teamwork and gave him an early understanding of the traits of strong teams. Daren is an inspiring speaker on communication and team building.
In 1990 Daren received a Bachelor of Theology degree, High Honours, and was a leader in the non-profit/church world for nineteen years, learning and teaching essential lessons about the nature of personal and organizational transformation and team dynamics. He is a graduate of the two year Arrow Leadership Program, a two time semi-finalist in the Toastmasters International World Championship of Public Speaking, and is a professional member of the National Association of Professional Speakers.
Daren brings this rich, diverse background into his writing and speaking. His love of creation, passion for teamwork and personal growth, sensitivity to spirituality, and a joy of communication shine through in everything he does.
